Youth Advisory Counsel!!

We are proud to announce our newest program, the Youth Advisory Counsel!  This counsel is comprised of Age Group Consultants, middle and high school students, who are invited to participate based on their performance  in other A-B-Sea programs, or by nomination.  Details about the program, its function and how to nominate an outstanding middle or high school student click here. 

E-Chievement Award!!

Vice President of A-B-Sea Foundation, Melissa Steinman was recently recognized for her work with the Foundation, in the form of the E-Town, E-chievement Award.  This award is give to individuals who are working to make a positive change in their communities.  Award details and history are given here. 

ESSEA Partnership!!

The Earth System Science Education Alliance (ESSEA) supports educational institutions across the country in offering a series of online ESS courses for teachers. Working in collaborative groups, teachers earn graduate or continuing education credit while solving problems, building models, and designing classroom activities.

ESSEA partners and associates create modules, and the partners facilitate the courses.  A-B-Sea Foundation was chosen as an associate member and attended the annual ESSEA conference in Omaha this August.  This partnership will greatly expand the services we are able to offer teachers, and was the inspiration for our Youth Advisory Counsel.
